2019 Conference Comparison and Expected Wins

Check out this sort-able table that allows you to dynamically change year and drill down to conference!

Arizona

Arizona opens in week zero at Hawaii so they open fall camp in less than a month!

Arizona State

On the 40th anniversary of the Arizona schools joining the Pac-12 here is a fascinating article about how ASU almost didn't go.

Cal

The in depth previews from our friend hythloday are worth reading. He does the Bears here.

Colorado

How does new coach Mel Tucker evaluate QB prospects?

Oregon

Is Oregon ready for Auburn's physical style of play? Cristobal preaches physicality, but Auburn's d-line should be good again.

Oregon State

Running back is a serious position of strength for the Beavers and this goes deep on their options.

Stanford

Athlon has KJ Costello as the #14 QB in the country coming into 2019. We tend to agree that he is around there.

UCLA

The Bruins start camp on August 1st. They open the season with a tough game at Cincinnati.

USC

One time transfer and now not transfer Matt Fink had surgery on his lower body and will miss fall camp.

Utah

The Utes are pretty heavy favorites in the South and unlike last season; project to be a tossup against Washington or Oregon in the Projection Model.

Washington

A preview of the Huskies camp and the with some of the many questions that need answered.

Washington State

The Cougs usually over-perform their recruiting rankings and that is a testament to Leach's abilities and his hiring acumen, but recruiting rankings predict outcomes; especially on defense.

Football Thing:

This is a nice breakdown of the tunnel screen. Ohio State sees these a lot in practice, but they bit on 3-4 from Oregon State last season in the Horseshoe.

Non-Football Things:

This is a good book. A great breakdown of growth strategies, institutions, and the many ways to skin the cat.

This is a good song.

This is good to know. The variance is one of the building blocks of statistics.
